چکیده

Introduction. Due to its simplicity, sliding mechanism is very often used in clinical practice for post-extraction space closure, however, the efficiency of this method may be reduced due friction and changes properties materials method. The most commonly methods mechanics are nickel titanium (NiTi) closed coil spring elastic chain. aim study was analyze force degradation application springs chains during closure within treatment with fixed orthodontic appliances. Material Methods. total sample consisted 78 spaces patients who were indicated extraction first premolars Nickel close spaces. Post-extraction monitored 6 months follow up examinations every 4 weeks. Measurements initial force, at beginning activation residual observation period performed control examinations. Results. Results research showed that both there a significant decrease period. When using NiTi springs, value average examination between 189.00-210.25 g, while range 117.56-133.50 g kept an 61.57% force. on 184.5-205.38 100.39-113.00 retained 53.41% Conclusion. There inspections, when applied. loss phases smaller compared forces produced by chains.

Self-ligating vs conventional twin brackets during en-masse space closure with sliding mechanics.

INTRODUCTION The aim of this study was to compare the rate of en-masse space closure with sliding mechanics between passive self-ligating SmartClip brackets (3M Unitek, Monrovia, Calif) and conventional twin brackets ligated with stainless steel ligatures. METHODS Nineteen patients including 20 arches participated in this prospective trial with 0.018-in slot brackets. All patients had first p...

Frictionless segmented mechanics for controlled space closure

Extraction spaces may be needed to achieve specific orthodontic goals of positioning the dentition in harmony with the craniofacial complex. However, the fundamental reality that determines the occlusion final position is the control exerted by the orthodontist while closing the extraction spaces. A specific treatment objective may require the posterior teeth to remain in a constant position an...

Sliding Mode Force Control during Drawing Processes in Presses

Nowadays high-tonnage drawing presses need a controlled cushion so that the force is controlled during the drawing process. Although with a classic force control algorithm, consisting of a non-linear feedforward loop and a closed loop PID control, the results are normally quite good, there are times when tuning up is difficult and performance diminishes significantly at high rates. A new force ...
